1 — COMPLETE THE Team Survey (all students)

First, access your Tilburg University Google Apps email to authenticate the web browser *. Then, open this link in another web browser tab to complete the required teamwork survey before noon on Thursday, November 30, 2017.  You must be logged into Google Apps using your university email address (@tilburguniversity.edu) for this link to work. No late submissions will be accepted (results in a zero for the team assignment).

* Authenticate into Google Apps by first opening https://www.tilburguniversity.edu/students/ in your web browser (desktop or laptop). Then, select Google Mail from the lefthand menu and login as you normally do using your university credentials. Keep Google Mail open in one tab of your web browser and have this webpage open in a second tab of your web browser. By following these instructions, all links on this webpage will then work properly.

2 — Oral Presentation (REQUIRED)

Deadline

The oral presentation consists of a slide deck, which you must submit online as a PDF before noon on Thursday, November 30, and a 7-minute oral presentation in front of the class that offers a compelling story about your focal business unit. No late submissions will be accepted and your presentation will be stopped once the 7-minute time limit is reached. 

Your PDF file must use the following nomenclature (use the correct group & team numbers, as well as focal business unit):

  • Group#3_Team#1_BusinessUnitName_Presentation.pdf

Choose one team member to upload your team's PDF file (link) online before noon on Thursday, November 30. You must be logged into Google Apps using your university email address (@tilburguniversity.edu) for this link to work. See detailed instructions above under the first heading.

In addition, you are expected to upload your team presentation in PDF on the classroom PC workstation (via USB key) before the presentation session starts at 16h45 on Thursday, November 30. 

Structure

The required structure of the presentation slide deck is as follows (maximum of 10 slides):

  • Cover page
  • Presentation of the Firm
  • Focal Business Unit
  • Explanation of the first insight of your first theoretical lens (best insight)
  • Explanation of the second + third insights of your first theoretical lens
  • Explanation of the first insight of your second theoretical lens (best insight)
  • Explanation of the second + third insights of your second theoretical lens
  • Explanation of the first insight of your third theoretical lens (best insight)
  • Explanation of the second + third insights of your third theoretical lens

Report Template

3 — Written Report (REQUIRED)

Deadline

The written report must be submitted in PDF online before noon on Thursday, November 30, 2017No late submissions will be accepted.

The required structure of the written report is as follows (maximum of 10 pages using: Times New Roman, 11pt, 1.5 spacing):

  • Cover page + table of contents (be sure to update page numbers)
  • Introduction to the firm (consider the points in the course syllabus on page 5)
    • Brief description of the international scope
    • Table 1 with key performance statistics
  • Focal business unit
    • Brief description of key activities + challenges
    • Table 2 with key performance statistics
  • 3 insights to your first theoretical lens
    • Brief introduction as to why it was useful to employ this lens (consider the points in the course syllabus on pages 5-7)
    • Insight 1 + rationale
    • Insight 2 + rationale
    • Insight 3 + rationale
    • Brief conclusion as to the nature of insights your lens offered
  • 3 insights to your second theoretical lens
    • Same structure as above
  • 3 insights to your third theoretical lens
    • Same structure as above
  • References (APA format)

4 — revised schedulE (REQUIRED)

Please note that the schedule for presentation sessions has changed.

To be fair to all my assigned groups + teams, you will present during the same session on Thursday, November 30 starting at 16h45 in PZ-43 (week 48).

The entire presentation session will last approximately 3.5 hours, but given the limited room size let's organize as follows:

  • All teams for Groups 3&4, 16h45 -17h35
    • Transfer your PDF presentation to the classroom PC before the session starts (via USB key)
  • All teams for Groups 7&8, 17h45-18h30
    • Transfer your PDF presentation to the classroom PC at 16h30 (via USB key)
  • All teams for Groups 9&10, 18h35-19h20
    • Transfer your PDF presentation to the classroom PC at 16h30 (via USB key)
  • All teams for Groups 17&18, 19h25-20h10
    • Transfer your PDF presentation to the classroom PC at 16h30 (via USB key)

NB: Feel free to arrive earlier + listen to other Groups' presentations (optional). However, you must be present for all Teams presenting within your Groups (e.g., Groups 3&4).
